Southern University Law Center (SULC) student, Crystal Ammons, is proving there’s no limit to what Law Center students can achieve.
As a standout law student and accomplished scholar, Ammons has been offered a prestigious position at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Headquarters in Washington, D.C.
“As a first-generation law student and HBCU advocate, being selected for this opportunity at the highest level of a federal agency is a dream come true,” Ammons shared. “I'm honored to represent Southern University Law Center and excited to contribute to NASA’s mission.”
Ammons' appointment is a testament to her exceptional academic performance, leadership abilities, and unwavering commitment to public service. Throughout her time at SULC, she has demonstrated excellence both inside and outside the classroom. Notably, she served as the lead for NASA’s Minority University Research and Education Project Innovation and Tech Transfer Idea Competition (MITTIC) intellectual property research team, where her contributions reflected not only legal acumen but also a deep understanding of innovation and policy.
In addition to her research work, Ammons also made history by coaching SULC’s first-ever team to reach the finals of a national legal competition — a milestone achievement for the institution.
Her selection for a role at one of the nation’s leading federal agencies reflects the high caliber of students that SULC continues to produce. Ammons’ success story is one of determination, purpose, and trailblazing advocacy.
