Target sued after shopper suffers back injury in slip and fall incident

A Houma Target store is being sued by a shopper who claims she suffered a back injury during a slip and fall incident.

Marie Verdin filed suit against Target Corporate Services Inc. on July 14 in Terrebonne Parish District Court. The defendant removed the case to federal court in New Orleans on Aug. 25.

The alleged incident occurred on Oct. 18, 2010. Verdin states she injured her back when she slipped and fell in a liquid substance in an aisle in the store.
