New Orleans hotel sued after Mississippi woman slips on wet bathroom floor

A New Orleans hotel is being sued for negligence after a Mississippi woman allegedly slipped on a wet bathroom floor and suffered severe injuries.

Renelda Lott and Harry Lott, Jr. filed suit against Caesars Entertainment Corp., JCC Fulton Development, JCC Canal Development, JCC Development Co., Jazz Casino Co., JCC Holding Co., JCC Holding Co. H, Harrah's New Orleans Investment Co., Harrah's Operating Inc., Caesars Entertainment Operating Co. Inc. and Caesars Entertainment Inc. on Oct. 17 in federal court in New Orleans.

The alleged incident occurred on Oct. 22, 2010 as Renelda Lott was a patron at the New Orleans Harrah's Hotel.

Lott is seeking damages for loss of income, medical expenses, painful and disabling injuries, loss of enjoyment of life, interest and court costs. Harry Lott is seeking an award of damages for loss of consortium.

The plaintiffs are represented by Frank E. Lamothe, III and WM David Coffey of Lamothe Lea Aertker in Covington. A jury trial is requested.

U.S. District Judge Kurt D. Engelhardt is assigned to the case.
