JRP Construction sued for third time in two weeks

DONALDSONVILLE – An Ascension Parish contractor has had a third lawsuit filed against it in two weeks.

Iberville Bank filed suit on Feb. 3 in the 23rd Judicial District Court against JRP Construction LLC. The plaintiff claims JRP has not paid a mortgage on a property in the Oaks on the Bluff subdivision in Prairieville.

Iberville Bank claims the mortgage has gone unpaid since October 25, 2011.

The plaintiff is seeking $231,165 for the remaining balance on the mortgage and fees for missed payments.

Iberville Bank is being represented by Louis W. Delahaye of Plaquemine-based Canova and Delahaye.

The case has been assigned to Division B Judge Thomas Kliebert, Jr.

The two lawsuits earlier filed against JRP were by construction materials suppliers for past due accounts.
