Piling company sued by Jefferson Parish man

GRETNA – A Jefferson Parish man is suing a local construction business for driving pilings that allegedly damaged his home.

Glenn G. Harris filed suit against Howard Pile Driving Company and its insurer in the 24th Judicial District Court on June 12.

Harris claims his home was damaged after Howard Pile Driving did work on an adjacent property. The plaintiff alleges his home's foundation shifted, floor tiles, walls and ceilings cracked, cabinets and bathroom fixtures shifted and other damages that are yet to be proven.

The defendant is accused of diminishing the worth of the plaintiff's home.

An unspecified amount in damages is sought to repair the plaintiff's home.

Harris is represented by Metairie-based attorney C.W. Lartigue, IV.

The case has been assigned to Division O Judge Ross P. LaDart.
