NEW ORLEANS – A New Orleans man is suing the city claiming a city program violates city code.
Kevin O'Donnell filed suit against the City of New Orleans in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on July 17. O'Donnell claims he received a ticket through the cities photo enforcement program for speeding. The plaintiff alleges that the ticket was mailed from Tempe, Ariz. and is thus in violation of city because it does not allow those outside of city workers to mail violation notices.
The defendant is accused of violating city code.
The plaintiff seeks to have the ticket dismissed.
O'Donnell is representing himself.
The case has been assigned to Division M Judge Paulette R. Irons.
