Florida law firm sues chairman of New Orleans city employee retirement system

NEW ORLEANS – The chairman of the board of a local municipal retirement system is being sued by a Florida law firm for non-payment of services.

Klausner, Kaufman, Jensen & Levinson filed suit against Edgar Chase, in his official capacity as chairman of the board of trustees of the City of New Orleans Municipal Employees' Retirement System in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on Sept. 18.

Klausner, Kaufman, Jensen & Levinson claim the defendant owes $56,577.20 for services completed, plus legal interest and attorney's fees.

Klausner, Kaufman, Jensen & Levinson is represented by Alexandre E. Bonin of New Orleans-based Bonin Law.

The case has been assigned to Division F Judge Christopher J. Bruno.

Case no. 2012-08839.
