Port Allen, Louisiana-based contractors sued for alleged breach

NEW ORLEANS - A local corporation is suing a Port Allen contracting company for allegedly not rendering payment for labor and materials.

Traffic Solution Inc. filed a lawsuit against RCS Contractors, Inc. and Western Surety Company in the Orleans Parish Central District Court on Aug. 8. The plaintiff alleges that, after making amicable demand for compensation of labor and equipment, they were not paid for the work they provided to the defendants for a construction job contracted between them (RCS) and La. DOTD for the I-10 drainage improvements on I-10 Route I-10 Orleans Parish project.

The defendant is accused of failure to pay Traffic Solutions the full sum for all services performed.

Traffic Solutions is seeking $50,606.20 plus interest, penalties and attorney's fees and all other general and equitable relief granted in the premises.

The plaintiff is represented by Fred L. Herman.

This case has been assigned to Division I Judge Piper D. Griffin, Chief Judge.

Case no. 2012-07771.
