NEW ORLEANS – An alleged slip and fall accident has led a Pepsi employee to sue a local Wal-Mart.
Chavannah McCan filed a lawsuit against Wal-Mart Louisiana, LLC in the Orleans Parish Central District Court on Aug 16. The plaintiff was stocking Pepsi products at Tchoupitoulas Street Wal-Mart warehouse when he allegedly slipped and fell on a liquid substance on the floor in the warehouse.
The defendant is accused of failure to maintain a safe stock environment, clean up spilled fluid and provide appropriate warning.
An unspecified amount is sought for all damages including medical expenses, permanent physical disabilities, mental anguish, and loss wages. The only request of the plaintiff in regards to recompense is that the award exceeds $50,000.
