Kenneth K. Orie

GRETNA – A New Orleans woman is suing a local fast food chain restaurant for injuries she claims to have received in a Gretna McDonald's.

Dawn Marie Robinson filed suit against LJC Management, LLC, Louis Colon, McDonald's and Scottsdale Insurance Comapny in the 24th Judicial District Court on Oct. 24. Robinson claims she was a customer at the McDonald's located at 501 Westbank Expressway in Gretna when she went to the restroom and stepped on a slippery substance and fell to the floor. The plaintiff alleges that she sustained physical injuries because of the fall.

The defendant is accused of creating an unsafe condition, failing to provide a safe floor on its premises, failing to put up a warning sign, having notice that the floor was slippery, failing to eliminate the hazard, failing to conduct a safety sweep of the area, failing to provide a non-skid floor and failing to maintain a proper lookout.

An unspecified amount in damages is sought for bodily injuries, medical coasts and loss of enjoyment and quality of life.

Robinson is represented by attorney Kenneth K. Orie of New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division C Judge June Berry Darensburg.

Case no. 720-463.
