Commercial tenant being sued for nearly $70k for unpaid lease

NEW ORLEANS – A tenant of a commercial Metairie property is being sued for allegedly not paying his rent.

John Wallenburg Jr. Properties LLC filed a lawsuit against Graeme Schwartz in the Orleans Parish Central District Court on Jan. 22.

The plaintiff asserts that the defendant is indebted in the amount of $67,759.73 for unpaid installments of rent due on the lease of commercial property located on Veterans Blvd. in Metairie.

The defendant is accused of failure to cure the default as of the file date after amicable demand.

Plaintiff is seeking the sum owed along with reasonable attorney fees and costs.

Attorney Jason Olivier of Covington will represent the plaintiff in court.

This case has been assigned to Division J Judge Paula A. Brown.

Case no. 2013-698.
