NEW ORLEANS – A Jefferson man is suing a local hospital claiming that he has suffered emotional and financial damages after filing workers' compensation claim subsequent to a work-related accident.
HuiGuo Chen filed a lawsuit against Ochsner Clinic Foundation in the Orleans Parish Central District Court on Feb. 19.
Chen alleges to have suffered intentional retaliation and discrimination from defendants after filing his workers' compensation claim. He alleges he has been harassed and terminated in direct retaliation to making the claim.
The defendant is accused of negligence, inflicting loss wages, severe emotional distress, pain and suffering and great bodily injury.
The plaintiff is seeking compensation for all damages including attorney fees and all legal costs.
The plaintiff is represented by Gonzales-based attorney Jean-Paul Robert will represent the plaintiff.
This case has been assigned to Division N Judge Ethel S. Julien.
