NEW ORLEANS – A Houston woman is suing Maple Leaf Bar claiming she fell on the premises.
Ilona Thomson filed a lawsuit against Maple Leaf Bar and Rax Corporation in the Orleans Parish Central District Court.
Thomson claims that while leaving the defendant's premises she tripped and fell on a defect in the floor near the entrance of the building which resulted in a broken ankle.
The defendant is accused of failing to use reasonable care, failing to warn petitioner of the existing defect and allowing a hazardous condition to exist.
The suit does not specify the exact amount the plaintiff desires for her injuries and damages.
