Elevation company accused of financial impropriety and non-payment

Breach of contract

GRETNA – A Louisiana corporation is suing a home elevation company for allegedly not paying for subcontracting services.

Direct Source LLC filed suit against Professional Shoring Elevations LLC and Ernest Blackwell in the 24th Judicial District Court on April 5.

Direct Source claims it was subcontracted by Professional Shoring Elevations to assist in providing home elevations for which they would be paid in post-dated checks.

The plaintiff alleges that when it attempted to deposit the post-dated checks  stop payment orders had been put on them. Direct Source asserts that it is owed a large sum of money by the defendant. The plaintiff claims Blackwell is using Professional Shoring Elevations as a shell company to hide his own personal liability and as such the company has suffered severe financial troubles.

The defendant is accused of breach of contract.

An unspecified amount in damages is sought for amounts due, attorney fees and legal costs.

Direct Source is represented by attorney William R. Penton III of New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division H Judge Glenn B. Ansardi.

Case no. 725-600.
