BATON ROUGE – A Baton Rouge woman is suing a local hospital after she allegedly fell and was injured on the hospital’s premises.
Ethel Brazier filed a lawsuit against the Greater Baton Rouge Surgical Hospital LLC in the 19th Judicial District Court on Feb. 26.
Brazier claims that in her attempt to check-in with the receptionist in the waiting room of the defendant’s hospital, she tripped on an unknown object and fell. The plaintiff alleges she sustained a serious injury to her left knee as a result.
The defendant is accused of negligence and failing to rid areas of patient travel of all hazards.
An unspecified amount is sought for the petitioner’s injury, medical expenses and pain and suffering.
