Cakebread Art Antiques Collectables Inc. files breach of contract suit for non-payment

NEW ORLEANS – A Texas corporation with a location in New Orleans on Magazine Street has filed a breach of contract lawsuit against a man who allegedly failed to pay for  several lots sold to him.

Cakebread Art Antiques Collectables Inc. filed a lawsuit against Mehran Malekan in the Orleans Parish Central District Court on March 8.

The plaintiff claims that after amicable demand Malekan has failed and refused to pay the purchase price for lots totaling $38,130.00 for which he was the winning bidder in an auction conducted by plaintiffs.

The defendant is accused of breach of contract.

The plaintiff is seeking the purchase price of the lots, contractual interest allowed by law, pre and post judgment interest, reasonable attorney fees and court costs.

C. Davin Boldissar of Locke Lord LLP will represent the plaintiff in court.

This case has been assigned to C Judge Sidney H. Cates.
