GRETNA – A Plaquemines Parish woman is suing a restaurant chain for injuries received serious and disabling injuries in a fall in the women’s restroom.
Shelly E. Chiappetta filed suit against Hooters of Louisiana LLC; Gibson, Greco & Wood Ltd., Blue Sky management Company LLC and Republic Underwriters Insurance Company in the 24th Judicial District Court on April 23.
Chiappetta claims she was a customer at the Hooters restaurant located at 4748 Veterans Blvd. in Metairie when she slipped on a freshly mopped wet and soapy floor in the women’s bathroom. An unspecified amount in damages is sought for medical expenses, lost wages, loss of earning capacity, pain and suffering, permanent disability, mental anguish, loss of enjoyment of life, lost wages and loss of future earning capacity.
