Signmost1

NEW ORLEANS – A Metairie sports therapy medical practice and one of its doctors are being sued by a patient who alleges she was injured during treatment.

Kristi M. Soileau filed suit against Dr. David J. Ware and Metairie Orthopedic and Sports Therapy in the 24th Judicial District Court on July 17.

Soileau claims that on July 17 she began treatment with Ware at Metairie Orthopedic and Sports Therapy for a torn rotator cuff. The plaintiff alleges that during the treatment Ware placed her arm in several different painful positions despite a surgeon’s prescription stating that the exercises should be pain free. Soileau asserts that due to the treatments the nerves in her arm were damaged and required surgery to repair.

The defendants are accused of medical malpractice.

An unspecified amount in damages is sought for pain and suffering, medical bills and expenses and loss of earnings.

Soileau is representing herself pro se in the case.

The case has been assigned to Division M Judge Henry G. Sullivan Jr.

Case no. 728-984.
