GRETNA – A St. Tammany Parish subcontractor is suing a construction company and a marketing company.
Bernard Brothers LLC filed suit against Woodrow Wilson Construction Company and Magnolia Marketing Company in the 24th Judicial District Court on July 26.
Bernard Brothers claims it was subcontracted by Woodrow Wilson Construction Company for work on the Goldring Office Building on Metairie Road in Metairie. The plaintiff alleges it is owed $53,039.77 for work on the project. Bernard Brothers asserts that after contacting the Woodrow Wilson Construction Company about the unpaid debt Woodrow Wilson Construction Company claimed it had not received the invoices for the work, but did not forward payment for the debt and failed to respond to further inquiries.
The defendant is accused of breach of contract.
Damages in the amount of $53,039.77 is sought for the unpaid balance plus interest, attorney’s fees, court costs and the cost of preparing and filing the statement.
Bernard Brothers is represented by Francis R. White III of Covington.
The case has been assigned to Division K Judge Ellen Shirer Kovach.
