NEW ORLEANS – A subcontractor filed suit against a general contractor, alleging it was never paid for work completed at Lawrence D. Crocker School.
Mechanical Construction Company LLC filed suit against Satterfield & Pontikes Construction Group LLC, Satterfield and Pontikes Construction Inc., Continental Casualty Company and Liberty Mutual Insurance Company.
The plaintiff alleges that on Nov. 15, 2010, it entered into an agreement as subcontractor, with Satterfield as the general contractor, to construct certain improvements at the new elementary school at Lawrence D. Crocker School, on General Taylor Street in New Orleans.
The plaintiff alleges that it completed all the contracted work in a workmanlike and proper manner, but has not been paid for this work. The plaintiff alleges that it is owed $912,427.24 for this work.
The plaintiff is represented by Michael R.C. Riess of Kingsmill Riess LLC of New Orleans.
The case has been assigned to Division H Judge Michael G. Bagneris.
