James b 240x300

GRETNA – A local hospital is being sued by a woman who claims she was injured after tripping over a chain link fence.

Leatrice Joyce Samrow filed suit against Jefferson Parish Hospital Service District No. 2 and East Jefferson General Hospital in the 24th Judicial District Court on Sept. 3.

Samrow claims she was walking in the Canal Garage at East Jefferson Hopsital located at 4200 Houma Blvd. in Metairie when she tripped on a piece of chain link fence that was laid flat in a handicapped parking space. An unspecified amount in damages is sought for physical pain and suffering, emotional distress, inconvenience and mental anguish.

Samrow is represented by attorney James B. Guest of Kenner.

The case has been assigned to Division O Judge Ross P. LaDart.
