GRETNA – A local hospital is suing a health insurance provider they claim did not pay them for hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of care they provided.

Crescent City Surgical Centre Operating Company LLC filed suit against Coventry Health Care of Louisiana Inc. in the 24th Judicial District Court on Dec. 4.

Crescent City Surgical Centre Operating Company, located at 3017 Galleria Drive in Metairie, asserts that they began operating in 2009 and that since that time have had a contract with Coventry Health Care of Louisiana Inc. who they allege did not provide them with enough benefits for patients holding their insurance. Crescent City Surgical Centre Operating Company is represented by Daniel R. Martiny of Metairie-based Martiny & Associates LLC.
