Mexican restaurant sued by woman who fell at bathroom entrance

GRETNA – A local Mexican restaurant is being sued by a customer who claims she was injured in a slip and fall at their bathroom’s entrance.

Rose Jones filed suit against Nacho Mama’s Mexican Grill LLC in the 24th Judicial District Court on Dec. 9.

Jones asserts she was a customer at the Nacho Mama’s in Harahan when she walking out of the bathroom and slipped on a foreign substance and fell to the floor. The plaintiff alleges her butt, leg and lower back were injured in the incident. Jones claims the puddle of liquid was not visible to her when she was exiting the restroom.

The defendant is accused of not keeping passageways and floors in a reasonably safe condition.

An unspecified amount in damages is sought for medical expenses, lost wages, loss of earning capacity, physical pain and suffering, mental anguish and loss of enjoyment of life.

Jones is represented by Dominick F. Impastato III of New Orleans-based Frischhertz, Poulliard, Frischhertz & Impastato LLC.

The case has been assigned to Division L Judge Donald A. Rowan Jr.
