GRETNA – A gas station is suing a former employee for allegedly stealing thousands of dollars from them over a period of eight years.
Brothers Terry Parkway Inc. filed suit against Raed “Ricky” Othman Abdel Majeed in the 24th Judicial District Court on Jan. 8.
Brothers Terry Parkway Inc. asserts that Majeed was employed and paid by them beginning in November 2005 and in October 2013 he was found to have systematically been misappropriating funds. The plaintiff alleges the defendant stole an amount in excess of $50,000 when he was employed by them.
The defendant is accused of theft.
An unspecified amount in damages is sought for loss of profits, loss of funds, loss of business reputation and loss of goodwill.

The case has been assigned to Division F Judge Michael P. Mentz.
