NEW ORLEANS – A New Orleans woman is being sued after allegedly agreeing to sell her home while facing default but refusing to convey the title of the home once the agreed purchaser helped her pay off her mortgage.
Burnett Property Development filed suit against Charlene James in the New Orleans Parish Civil District Court on March 17.
Burnett Property has asserted they came to an agreement with James on a contract for sale of a property she owned.
