Car dealership sued by man claiming injuries in accident caused by car salesman

GRETNA – A local car dealership is being sued by a customer who claims he was injured when a car he was riding in being driven by a car salesman ran up on a curb.

Reginald Harrison filed suit against Ray Brandt Nissan Inc. in the 24th Judicial District Court on July 15.

Harrison claims he was injured on June 5 as he was riding as a passenger in a vehicle owned by Ray Brandt Nissan Inc. being driven by an unidentified car salesman drove onto a curb. The plaintiff contends he received severe and disabling injuries in the incident.

The defendant is accused of inattention, failing to maintain a proper lookout, careless operation, failing to maintain control and failing to properly and timely apply brakes.

An unspecified amount in damages is sought for physical pain and suffering, mental anguish and suffering, medical expenses, loss of wages and loss of earning capacity.

Harrison is represented by C. Arlen Braud II of Mandeville-based Braud & Galagher LLC.

The case has been assigned to Division D Judge Scott U. Schlegel.
