GRETNA – A store specializing in cell phone sales is suing its insurer for allegedly not covering a burglary that occurred at the business.

Wireless Outlet LLC filed suit against Southern Insurance Agency LLC and Lloyd’s of London in the 24th Judicial District Court on Aug. 14.

Wireless Outlet LLC claims that on Jan. 1, 2010 a burglary occurred at the business located at 1028 Manhattan Blvd. in Harvey. The plaintiff alleges that at the time of the incident it had a property insurance policy in place with Southern Insurance Agency LLC and Lloyd’s of London. However, Wireless Outlet LLC asserts that after the burglary the defendants have failed to pay for property damages to the business and property loss that occurred during the burglary.

The defendant is accused of breach of contract.

An unspecified amount in damages is sought for damages, legal costs and attorney’s fees.

Wireless Outlet LLC is represented by John J. Radziewicz of New Orleans-based Crescent City Law LLC.

The case has been assigned to Division F Judge Michael P. Mentz.

Case no. 741-271.
