NEW ORLEANS – A Lafayette-based wetlands permitting specialist is suing a company it claims failed to pay for services.

C.H. Fenstermaker & Associates LLC filed suit against Gulf South Operators Inc. in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on Sept. 15.

C.H. Fenstermaker & Associates contends it provided environmental site visits and assistance in obtaining wetlands permits to Gulf South Operators Inc. between September 2012 and February 2014. The plaintiff asserts that on July 18, 2014 it sent a demand letter to the defendant requesting full payment in the amount of $32,994.80. C.H. Fenstermaker & Associates claims Gulf South Operators Inc. has refused to respond to requests for payment thus far.

The defendant is accused of breach of contract.

Damages in the amount of $32,994.80 plus applicable interest is sought by the plaintiff.

C.H. Fenstermaker & Associates is represented by Emile Joseph Jr. of Lafayette-based Allen & Gooch.

The case has been assigned to Division N Judge Ethel S. Julien.

Case no. 2014-09028.
