GRETNA – A local supermarket is suing a radio station for allegedly breaching an advertising contract by not mentioning them over the air often enough.
250 S. Broad St. LLC, Ideal Discount Market, Kaki & Sons LLC and Ideal Market #6 filed suit against Sunburst Media Stations in the 24th Judicial District Court on Aug. 22.
The plaintiffs claim that their business, Ideal Supermarket, was supposed to be mentioned on the air at the top of each hour via prerecorded messages beginning on Dec. 28, 2012. According to the lawsuit, Sunburst Media Stations was also supposed to provide advertisement to Ideal Supermarket through remote events as provided in the contract, but did not do so. In addition, the plaintiffs contend the defendant was supposed to handle their Facebook marketing efforts, which they allegedly did not.
The defendant is accused of breach of contract.
Damages in the amount of $45,500 is sought by the plaintiffs.
The plaintiffs are represented by Nicole E. Burdett of New Orleans-based Jason Rogers Williams & Associates LLC.
The case has been assigned to Division J Judge Stephen C. Grefer.
