Popular Bourbon Street nightclub sued by woman allegedly injured in slip and fall

NEW ORLEANS – The Beach on Bourbon is being sued by a patron who was allegedly injured after slipping and falling on an unidentified substance.

Tammy Kirk filed suit against JTMC Enterprises LLC, The Beach on Bourbon, 227 Bourbon Street LLC and their insurers in Orleans Parish Civil District Court on Sept. 9.

Kirk claims that on Oct. 19, 2013, she was a patron at The Beach on Bourbon, located at 227 Bourbon Street, when she allegedly slipped and fell on a dangerous substance sustaining serious injuries. The plaintiff alleges the substance at the site of the incident was unidentified.

The defendants are accused of failing to protect against hazardous conditions, allowing the existence of dangerous conditions, incorrectly securing the property, inappropriate supervision of the property and failing to warn patrons of deficiencies.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages for pain and suffering, mental anguish, medical expenses, inconveniences, loss of enjoyment of life, decline in future income and disabilities.

Attorneys Anthony D. Irpino and Bobby G. Hawkins represent the plaintiff.

The case has been assigned to Div. A Judge Tiffany G. Chase.
