NEW ORLEANS – A former security guard claims that during the course of his employment by World Protection Inc. he failed to receive any sort of compensation for work he completed for the company as a security guard.
Christopher Anderson filed suit against World Protection Inc. in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on Sept. 11.
Anderson states that on July 1, he began his job as a security guard stationed at two posts in Orleans Parish. However, during the course of his employment he allegedly did not receive payment or any kind of monetary compensation. On July 28, Anderson terminated his employment as a result of the past wages due.
The incident has left the petitioner under severe economic strain and mental exhaustion.
The plaintiff is seeking upwards of $75,000 in damages for past wages due, penalty wages and attorney fees.
The plaintiff is represented by Myles Steib and Benjamin Thomas of Gardner & Steib Attorneys at Law LLC.
The case has been assigned to Div. J Judge Paula A. Brown.
