GRETNA – A local casino is being sued after a woman claims she was injured when she tripped on defective concrete and fell, resulting in several severe injuries.
Rose Bullins filed suit against Pinnacle Entertainment Inc. of Delaware and Boomtown Casino New Orleans in the 24th Judicial District Court on Oct. 8.
Bullins claims that on Oct. 23, 2014 she was walking towards the VIP entrance of Boomtown Casino New Orleans located at 4132 Peters Road in Harvey when she tripped and fell on defective concrete. The plaintiff alleges she received severe injuries in the incident including to her shoulder, neck and left knee that have required medical treatment.
The defendant is accused of failing to properly inspect the area, failing to properly maintain the area, creating an attractive nuisance, failing to properly warn of the defect and failing to properly repair the defective condition.
An unspecified amount in damages is sought for pain and suffering, disability, loss of wages, loss of earning capacity, medical expenses and travel expenses.

The case has been assigned to Division N Judge Stephen D. Enright Jr.
