GRETNA – A loan company is suing a clients it claims did not repay a loan.
Springleaf Financial Services of Louisiana Inc. filed suit against Lekesha Green Lafayette in the 24th Judicial District Court on Jan. 20.
Springleaf claims that on Oct. 21, 2013, it entered into a loan agreement with Lafayette in the amount of $8,082.62 that was to be repaid over a 36-month period. The plaintiff alleges the defendant has failed to make timely payments on the loan despite receiving documented requests to do so.
The defendant is accused of breach of contract.
Damages in the amount of $7,693.79 is sought by plaintiff.
