GRETNA – A man who claims he was picking up food from a local bar and grill when a customer of the establishment ran his vehicle into his parked car and proceeded to punch him in the face is suing.
Leonel Price filed suit against Mark Pisciotta, 5216 Inc., The Swamp Room and their insurer in the 24th Judicial District Court on March 30.
Price claims that on April 4, 2014 he parked in The Swamp Room’s parking lot located at 5216 Veterans Blvd. in Metairie and went inside the establishment to pick up a food order. The plaintiff alleges that Pisciotta was driving a 2004 Toyota Avalon with a passenger inside the car when they collided with his parked car. Price contends the accident occurred while he was inside The Swamp Room and when he went outside to look at his car Pisciotta violently attacked him, punching him in the face for which Pisciotta was arrested. The plaintiff asserts he suffered severe bodily injury in the incident.
Defendant Pisciotta is accused of intentionally inflicting bodily injury and defendant The Swamp Room is accused of failing to properly secure the establishment and failing to properly provide security to invited guests.
An unspecified amount in damages is sought for bodily injury and pain and suffering.
Price is represented by David M. Fink of New Orleans-based The Law Office of Bernard L. Charbonnet Jr. APLC.
The case has been assigned to Division J Judge Stephen C. Grefer.
Case no. 748-172.
