Delgado goes after former student for $5K in allegedly unpaid tuition fees

BATON ROUGE – A former student is being sued by Delgado Community College for alleged non-payment of tuition.

Louisiana Community and Technical College System, through Delgado Community College, filed suit against Christi Diane Horace in the 19th Judicial District Court on April 1.

Delgado claims Horace was a student in the spring semester of 2013, but has failed to pay for the cost of attendance. The plaintiff alleges it is owed $5,008 plus 33.33 percent on the outstanding balance for unpaid tuition.

The defendant is accused of breach of contract.

The plaintiffs are represented by assistant attorney general Rokeya J. Morris of the Louisiana Department of Justice.

The case has been signed to Division D Judge Timothy Kelly.
