NEW ORLEANS – A longshoreman is suing the marine vessel Julian and its owners for catastrophic injuries he alleged suffered from a fall aboard the vessel.

Terrence Henry filed a lawsuit Dec. 9 in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana against Ernst Komorowski & Co. and the marine vessel Julian, alleging negligence.

On Dec. 14, 2014, the suit says Henry was assigned to board the Julian as part of his work assignment for Savard Marine Services. According to the complaint, Henry fell through a hatch the crew had left open in the vessel’s deck, causing permanent injuries.

Henry seeks damages for physical and mental pain and suffering, lost wages and earning capacity, permanent disability and other damages to be proven at trial. He is represented by attorneys Ronna M. Steele and Robert H. Cooper of Gretna.
