NEW ORLEANS – A Louisiana man claims his former employer, Bailey Support Services, and a vessel where he worked are liable for his on-the-job injuries.
Robert Schuckman filed a lawsuit Jan. 29 in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana against Moncla Marine and Bailey Support Services, citing negligence and unseaworthiness.
According to the complaint, Schuckman worked for Bailey Support Services aboard the vessel Moncla 103 “The Gator.” On Feb. 25, 2013, the suit says Schuckman suffered an injury to his back and other areas while working aboard the defendant’s vessel. The plaintiff claims the negligence of both Moncla Marine and Bailey Support Services caused the accident in which he was injured.
Schuckman seeks damages for physical and emotional pain and suffering, disability, lost wages and medical expenses in an amount to be proven at trial. He is represented by attorneys Timothy J. Young, Tammy D. Harris, Megan C. Misko and Daniel J. Poolson Jr. of The Young Firm in New Orleans.
