Employee alleges network services provider failed to pay overtime

Debt

ALEXANDRIA — An employee from Avoyelles Parish has filed a class-action lawsuit against a network services provider, alleging unpaid wages and violation of workers compensation laws.

John Riddle, individually and on behalf of others similarly situated, filed a lawsuit March 31 in U.S. District Court for the Western District of Louisiana Alexandria Division against Detel Wireless LLC, alleging it violated the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, Riddle did not receive overtime pay for all hours he worked in excess of 40 hours in a week. The plaintiff alleges the defendant failed to properly compensate him at time and half of his statutory hourly rate for all the extra hours.

Riddle seeks trial by jury, compensation for all unpaid overtime wages, liquidated damages, attorney fees, costs, expenses, pre- and post-judgment interest and other relief to which he is justly entitled. He is represented by attorneys Matthew S. Parmet and David I. Moulton of Bruckner Burch PLLC in Houston.
