Slip01

GRETNA – A Jefferson Parish woman is seeking damages following an incident in which she was allegedly caused to slip and fall due to the negligence of a Chevrolet dealership.

Anna Landry filed a suit against Leson Chevrolet Co. Inc. and Western Heritage Insurance Co. in the 24th Judicial District Court on April 12.

According to the claim, Landry was a customer of the Leson Chevrolet dealership located at 1501 Westbank Expressway in Harvey when the incident took place. Landry brought her vehicle to the dealership to be serviced on April 13, 2015, but was allegedly not told about the dangerous conditions of the slick and wet floor due to rain. As a result, Landry allegedly slipped and fell, fracturing her tailbone and injuring her shoulders and back, which required medical attention and has caused her sustained pain.

The defendant is accused of negligence in failing to maintain safe conditions in its facilities.

Landry is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. She is represented by David L. Browne and Cythia M. Cimino of BrowneLaw LLC in New Orleans. The case has been assigned to Division A Judge Raymond S. Steib Jr.
