Man files suit for title of semi-tractor

GRETNA – A St. Bernard Parish man claims that the final steps for the sale of a truck were never carried out properly.

Garrett J. Farrell filed a suit against Robbins Transportation Inc. and Paul Robbins in the 24th Judicial District Court on May 19.

According to the claim, the plaintiff purchased a semi-tractor from the defendants on Sept. 22, 2015, during which time a bill of sale was executed. The suit further states, however, that the defendants have since failed to provide the properly endorsed title of the vehicle. Additionally, the plaintiff claims that the defendants canceled the registration of the plates.

The defendants are accused of negligence.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. He is represented by W. Chad Stelly, Blake G. Arata Jr. and C. Perrin Rome III of Rome, Arata, Baxley and Stelly LLC in New Orleans. The case has been assigned to Division N Judge Stephen D. Enright Jr.
