Orleans Parish woman alleges sign injured her at Buffalo Wild Wings

GRETNA – An Orleans Parish woman is seeking damages following an incident in which a sign allegedly fell on her leg and caused her injury.

Tymestrice P. Butler filed a suit against Sentinel Insurance Co. LTD; Nola Wings Elmwood LLC; doing business as Buffalo Wild Wings; Nola Wings LLC; and Compleat Hospitality Management LLC in the 24th Judicial District Court on May 26.

According to the claim, the plaintiff was caused injury while at the Buffalo Wild Wings at 909 S. Clearview Parkway in June 2015. The suit states that while the plaintiff was waiting to be served, a sign fell on her leg, causing her injury.

The defendants are accused of negligence through failure to maintain a safe environment for guests, failure to take the necessary measures to keep the premises of the restaurant safe, failure to warn guests of the danger and overall negligence.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. She is represented by Edward J. Womac Jr. and Matthew Sutton of the Law Offices of Edward J. Womac Jr. and Associates in New Orleans. The case has been assigned to Division K Judge Ellen Shirer Kovach.
