GRETNA – A limited liability company claims that a promissory note was not upheld by another party.
120 West Partners LLC filed a suit against Mourdia D. Morris in the 24th Judicial District Court on May 31.
According to the claim, the defendant entered into a shoring contract and also executed a promissory note in 2011. Another party allegedly completed all of the work that was required and outlined in the shoring contract, but the suit states that the defendant failed to uphold the details of the promissory note. The rights, title and interest of the note was transferred to the plaintiff in 2013.
The defendant is accused of not honoring the promissory note.
The plaintiff is seeking $30,000 in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Blake E. Oakes of Metairie. The case has been assigned to Division D Judge Scott U. Schlegel.
