GRETNA – A St. Bernard Parish company is seeking damages, claiming that negligence was the cause of a damaging fire.

Super Crafty LLC filed a suit against Travelers Casualty and Surety Co., Danni Productions LLC and Dawn Cook in the 24th Judicial District Court on May 31.

According to the claim, Cook, who was employed by Danni Productions LLC, was towing a travel trailer owed by the plaintiff on River Road on June 5 when the incident occurred. The suit states that while driving, the trailer suffered a flat tire. After Cook allegedly pulled over to look at the tire, she was instructed by an employee of Danni Productions to continue driving without fixing the tire. The trailer then allegedly ignited and the items inside it were damaged. The suit further states that the fire caused damages to the plaintiff's property.

The defendants are accused of negligence.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. The plaintiff is represented by James Convich, Clarence F. Favret II and Paul Carriere of Favret & Lea LLC in New Orleans. The case has been assigned to Division O Judge Danyelle M. Taylor.
