Former Southeastern University of Louisiana student alleged to owe money to school

GRETNA – The Southeastern Louisiana University alleges that a former student failed to make payments on an open account.

University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors through Southeastern Louisiana University filed a suit against Harold Anthony Martin in the 24th Judicial District Court on May 26.

According to the claim, the defendant has an open account with the plaintiff for an amount of $1,829.75 dating from 2013. The suit states that the defendant agreed to pay the amount owed to the university. Following this agreement, the defendant enrolled in courses at the university and has since allegedly failed to make payments on the open account.

The defendant is accused of breach of agreement in failing to pay the amount incurred.

The plaintiff is seeking $1,829.75 in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Meghan N. Beal of the Louisiana Department of Justice. The case has been assigned to Division C Judge June Berry Darrensburg.
