Unique System LLC alleges it is owed by vessel, two companies

Contract 06

NEW ORLEANS – An Iberia Parish business alleges it was not paid for services provided.

Unique System LLC filed a complaint on June 10 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana against the vessel Swordfish, Harkand Gulf Services LLC and Ethos Offshore US LLC alleging that they failed to comply with the subcontractor agreement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on June 5, 2014, it entered into a subcontractor agreement with the defendants and completely and fully provided the equipment and performed services and other necessities necessary for the completion of the commercial saturation operation of the Swordfish. The suit states that despite amicable demand, the equipment provided and services rendered remains unpaid by the defendants. The plaintiff holds the Swordfish, Harkand Gulf Services LLC and Ethos Offshore US LLC responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to pay for the equipment and services provided under the subcontracting agreement.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendants Harkand and/or Ethos in the amount of $1,927,970.40 and against defendant Swordfish and against in the amount of $1,482,969.80, an order that the Swordfish be condemned and sold to satisfy the claims asserted herein, and for such other relief that justice will allow. It is represented by Ralph E. Kraft and Bryan E. Lege of Kraft Lege LLC in Lafayette.
