NEW ORLEANS — A woman is seeking damages following and incident in which she allegedly was caused to fall on dangerous steps.
Zanier Craft filed a suit against Johnny Darby in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on June 1.
According to the claim, the plaintiff was at the property of 6441 Lafaye Court on Oct. 18, 2015 when the incident occurred. The suit states that the plaintiff was at the defendant's home and was walking down the stairs when she was caused to trip and fall due to the allegedly poorly maintained steps.
The defendant is accused of negligence through failure to maintain the premises in a safe manner, failure to provide warnings of the present danger and allowing such a condition to exist.
The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. She is represented by Brian King, Jason F. Giles, Anthony J. Milazzo III and James E. Courtenay.
The case has been assigned to Division N Judge Ethel S. Julien.
