NEW ORLEANS – A company is seeking damages claiming that an Orleans Parish woman failed to pay for a job that was completed.

120 West Partners LLC filed a suit against Betty A. Ratcliff in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on June 1.

According to the claim, the defendant entered into an agreement for the completion of a shoring contract on Aug. 4, 2010, with Patterson Structural Moving and Shoring LLC. The suit states that the defendant issued a promissory note and though Patterson completed the work outlined in the agreement, the defendant has failed to honor the promissory note or pay for the work completed. The suit states the rights, title and interest of the note was transferred to the plaintiff by Patterson in February 2013.

The defendant is accused of failing to pay for the work completed.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Blake E. Oakes of the Oakes Law Firm in Metairie.
