Man alleges he was injured by metal poles at workplace

GRETNA – A man is seeking damages after he was allegedly injured on his workplace property.

Frank Singletary filed a suit against Manhattan Place LLC, Hamdan Holdings LLC and Catlin Specialty Insurance Co. in the 24th Judicial District Court on June 28.

According to the claim, the plaintiff was leaving his workplace on Aug. 23, 2015, when the incident occurred. The suit states that while walking off of the property, the plaintiff encountered some metal poles protruding out of the ground, which allegedly caused him injuries.

The defendant is accused of negligence through allowing a dangerous condition to exist, failure to prevent such injuries from occurring and failing to properly inspect the premises.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. He is represented by Bobbie C. Smith of New Orleans. The case has been assigned to Division E Judge John J. Molaison Jr.
