Two LLCs are seeking damages after their insurance provider allegedly failed to pay them for damages suffered

NEW ORLEANS — Two Louisiana LLCs are seeking damages, claiming that their insurance provider failed to pay them for damages suffered.

Neeb Kearney & Company LLC and Coastal Cargo Company LLC filed a suit against Federal Insurance Company in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on July 14.

According to the claim, the defendant is the insurance provider for the plaintiff, however, the suit states that despite receiving proof of loss from an incident suffered by the plaintiff, the defendant has failed to reimburse the plaintiff for the lost funds.

The defendant is accused of failure to fulfill their duties as the plaintiff's insurance provider.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. The plaintiff is represented by James A. Cobb Jr.

The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Piper D. Griffin

The Orleans Parish Civil District Court Case number 16-7027.
