NEW ORLEANS — An LLC is seeking damages, claiming that it was paid with a check that did not have sufficient funds in the account.

South Rendon LLC filed a suit against Christopher Lattie and L&M Entertainment LLC in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on June 23.

According to the claim, the defendant wrote a check to the plaintiff on March 11. The suit states, however, that when the plaintiff attempted to deposit the check, it was returned for the reason of not being backed by sufficient funds.

The defendant is accused of breach of contract through the promises made in bad faith and fraudulent actions.

The plaintiff is seeking an unspecified amount in damages. The plaintiff is represented by Richard H. Barker IV.

The case has been assigned to Division N Judge Ethel S. Julien.
